MAARTEN SIKKE

Maarten Sikke born on April 4, 1990 in Oradea, is a Romanian DJ and producer. Discovered his love for music at the age of 12 and from that age began to know the world of music. At the age of 16 he starts to collaborate with various romanian dj artists and also they start to introducing him on electronic music scene. In December 2008 he begins his challenge, the first episode of Trance Update and he does not want to stop here.

Maarten works hard developing new, exclusive and innovative trance music, that has already earned his acclaim amongst his peers.He was inspired by celebrated musicians such as ATB, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Sander Van Doorn, Marco V, Marcus Schossow, Estiva amongst others.

Maarten is also an avid Promoter. Combine such ambition with an ongoing desire to continue to produce outstanding, interesting and often uniquely brilliant trance music and only matched by a bright, enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing approach to all he meets, as well as a taste for entertaining the masses; throughout his career, Maarten has released over 40 remixes, 10 singles, 1 album and 1 EP.

In 2010, according to the thedjlist.com, Maarten Sikke ended the year ranked in the 80 place in the international top of Trance&Progressive music.

In 2012 he starts the biggests projects of his life, in the spring he starts shooting the first frames for a movie about last years of his life,major health problems surgery’s etc. besides that he worked hard to new producions and albums.

In the summer of 2012 he was included in a warm-up show with Horace Dan D and Vlad Rusu for Cosmic Gate event in the biggest festival in Romania, Fusion Festival.

Now, he continued working on his own projects …
